Children ages 3 – 6 are invited to participate in our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program (CGS), either following the twice monthly Sunday program at St. Ambrose or by attending weekly sessions on Wednesdays, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, at St. John’s.
Faith Formation classes are held twice monthly on Sundays from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM for children entering grades 2-9.
A combined ministry of Peace of Christ Parish and the Southeast Rochester Catholic Community, City East Youth Ministry, is a youth group designed for middle and high school students who seek to grow in their Catholic Faith.
As has been the case in the past, it is a Diocesan requirement that all children must be enrolled and participating in a Parish or Catholic School Faith Formation program for an entire year before enrolling in their sacramental prep year. That means those wishing to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion during 2nd grade, must enroll during 1st grade. Those wishing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in 9th Grade, must enroll during 7th grade.
Children who have come to know and love Jesus at an age appropriate level are invited to begin preparation for their 1st Reconciliation.
Children who have come to know and love Jesus Christ, fully present in the Eucharist, are invited to begin the preparation process to recieve their 1st Holy Communion.
