Usher/ Greeter Ministry

The goal of this Ministry is to make everyone feel welcome, to help people participate at Mass, and to form Community.

When people begin forming a community before the start of Mass they are better prepared to join in the activities of singing, praying, listening, and observing silences together.  When you greet people at church, you are greeting each one as a child of God and in doing so, welcoming God.

Ushers and Greeters are involved in many aspects of the mass. They prepare the Church, greet people as they enter and leave, seat parishioners, when necessary, take up gifts (collections), manage communion access, give out bulletins, and help in emergencies.

New volunteers will receive “on-the job” training.
