                                Welcome to CYO Sports at Peace of Christ Parish

Registration for the 2021-2022 CYO Basketball Season is now closed. We are now unable to accomodate any further registration. 

CYO is open to any student in grades 3-12 who is not already a member of/affiliated with a basketball team through school or a community organization.

Team Expectations

  • Teams will pray together before every practice and every game.
  • Teams will incorporate their Faith in Playing Sports goals in practices and games. 
  • Each team is required to attend Mass together at least twice a month - this schedule will be worked out amongst teams.
  • All Catholic players are expected to attend Mass weekly, with the exception of illness or other unforeseen circumstances.
  • There will be a special CYO Basketball Mass for all teams during the season, more info is forthcoming.


  • All Peace of Christ CYO Basketball Coaches have received CASE training, background checks, Coaches training, Concussion training and CPR/First Aid/AED training.
  • There will always be two credentialed coaches with players at all times. Players must wait outside until both coaches have arrived for practice or games.


  • Practice schedules will be distributed in the weeks ahead. 
  • Practices will begin in November.
  • No un-approved or spontaneous practices are allowed without prior approval from the athletic director.
  • Sunday practices or games may not begin until after morning Masses and Faith Formation classes are complete.
  • The season will consist of 10-weeks of games beginning the week of December 4th.

COVID Guidelines/Safety Protocols

  • All persons present inside the school building must remain properly masked (with nose and mouth fully covered) for the duration of their time in the school building, including players during practices and games.
  • Facility usage and access is limited to the gym and adjacent bathrooms only.
  • Proper sanitization of chairs, equipment, etc, will take place after each practice and/or game.
  • Due to social distancing restrictions and CDC guidelines, each player is only allowed two spectators per game. This will be strictly monitored. 
  • Spectators must sign-in for all games by providing their name and phone number for the purpose of contact tracing, if necessary.

Please note: in the event that there are not enough coaches or players to field a team, POC reserves the right to cancel a team. Full refunds will be given to all players affected by the cancellation.
