Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry in the Diocese of Rochester embraces a comprehensive and multifaceted approach that utilizes the gifts of the entire faith community to minister to, with, by and for young people in grades 6-12. Our goals reflect those outlined by the U.S. Bishops in the 1997 document, Renewing the Vision:

In order to achieve these goals, all leaders in youth and campus ministries are urged to use a team approach that involves both youth and adults in the development, implementation and leadership of programs and events that reach out to young people. If you wish to be apart of this team please email Alison A. LeChase at alechase@dor.org . The programs, events, in services and gatherings that are listed below are all designed to support and enhance the comprehensive vision of youth ministry within the Diocese of Rochester as well.

Take a Hike

Find time this month as a family to watch ‘Living Water' on youtube.com. Then go out for a hike leaving all cells phones, watches and ipods behind. Pack a picnic and as you break bread together pray, ‘He who comes to me will never go hungry, and who believes in me will never be thirsty.' John 6:35
